Hey all,

I'm posting this from my Nintendo Wii because my computer has gone down the crapper. Oh well.

When I get everything working, I'm going to make good on my promise to delete this journal. So, if there's some reason you need something from one of my entries, get it now.

That just took me 20 minutes to type, so I'm going to wrap this up.

Later all.

So PotterCast is going to start a troupe of performers? Doesn't this sound like a lot like SpellCast Theater?

*sigh*

A friend of mine told me at Phoenix Rising that John Noe really liked the concept of the podcast plays. They even emphasized how much he liked it as if to give me a cryptic warning of sorts. So, I guess I should have seen this coming.

At least they gave us a bit of the credit, not really though, for the original idea before completely gacking it. Really lame.

I know I promised I would close this journal and start in on my new journal, [info]darkcrest. However, I've come to the decision to wait until the release of Deathly Hallows to do so. There's a part of me that's excited about the idea of have a journal that's post-canon. Not that I really had a journal during canon, but you get the idea.

Lately I've been gearing up for my trip to the movie premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I'm going to be staying with Ryan and Kim of SpinnersCast at Ryan's apartment, which is going to be a blast. However, I'm most looking forward to hanging out with [info]mudblood428, [info]zorb, and [info]pinkfinity. I always cherish the time I get to spend with my fellow SpellCasters and with canon coming to a close, I know that soon these opportunities will become few and far between.

In regards to the movie premiere itself, I still don't think it's really hit me just yet that I'll be on the red carpet interviewing the actors and actresses that I've been fanning for years. It's probably a good thing though because my brain would probably have a meltdown. I should have a couple of pictures taken of me interviewing and talking to the stars, just for proof that I was actually there. It's interesting that it was actually watching LeakyMug's coverage of the Goblet of Fire premiere and their first live podcast afterward that was what finally pushed me into e-mailing Heidi more than a year ago. Now that I am going to the Order of the Phoenix premiere to represent my podcast, it gives the entire experience a sense of coming full circle.

On a different note, SpellCast Readings was finally hosted by one of the new hosts from the show's second season. It was weird not hearing one of the usual voices, but I feel that it's needed in order to get the listeners ready for the change as well. I'm excited at the possibilty of SpellCast Readings being it's own entity away from SpellCast and this one step closer to that goal.

Also, I'm sad because a couple of weeks ago, I added several of the podcasters from Quaffle Talk to my friends list on Skype. None of them have friended me back yet. Sadness. ... At least I think it's them...

That's all from me for now. I'll keep posting here during the release of the movie and the book, so don't defriend this journal just yet!

Hey everyone,

I've decided to close up shop on this journal. Why? Because I'm starting to feel a bit uneasy about having my real name on a journal. Podcasting with it is one thing, but journaling with it is another. So, here is my new journal:

[info]darkcrest

There's nothing there yet, but later tonight you'll be able to see my report and thoughts on Phoenix Rising.

I'll be keeping this journal up for another week or two, so please feel make any changes needed.

I'm out,

Robert

Today was kinda lame. I really didn't do much.

I watched a couple of episodes of 'The Office', went to the grocery store, worked out at my parents' place and cooked dinner.

Days off from work shouldn't be lame. They should be great, no, awesome.

Well, I just booked my flight for Phoenix Rising. I'm going to be getting into New Orleans at 3:45 PM on Wednesday and leaving at 4:15 PM on Monday. I was worried I wouldn't be able to stay for everything on Monday, but it looks like I'll be able to. Sweeet.

Oh, by chance is anyone else going to be there on Wednesday?

Well, I'll be the first one to admit that I haven't been all that great at keeping up with my journal. Life's been incredibly busy and I just haven't had the time to properly post much of anything. Not to mention, SpellCast has become nothing short of another full-time job between recording segments, editing audio and managing staff. Granted, these are all still excuses in the end, but I'd like to think they count for something.

On top of not having the time, I really haven't been all that interested in putting time and effort to this journal. So, in order to regenerate my interest, I've gone ahead and wiped out all of my previous posts. While some of you might not really approve of this, I find it to be quite refreshing and it gives me a sense of starting things over. I also decided to go with a new design to make things exciting again. While being very dark, it has this odd Hufflepuff feel to it. Perhaps it's the all of the gold and black?

Anyway, hopefully this will be one of many more posts to come.
